Baseball (boys and girls) League AgeThe player's age on May 1st determines "League Age" and division. and Division of Play
Tee ball - League Ages 5 & 6. The emphasis is on having fun, introducing the players to baseball, and interesting them enough in baseball to return next year for PeeWee. The league is non-competitive and scores are not kept. Games are held on smaller diamonds. One game during the week and one game on Saturday.
Peewee - League Ages 6 & 7. Is usually for players who have played one year of Tee-Ball. While PeeWee is still non-competitive and scores are not kept, more standard playing rules are introduced. Pitching is done by the coaches. Games are held on smaller diamonds. One game during the week and one game on Saturday.
International - League Ages 7 & 8. Pitching is done by pitching machines. Games are held on standard 60 foot diamonds. One game during the week and one game on Saturday. A tournament team will be formed to play in local tournaments.
Minors - League Ages 9 & 10. Although standings are kept, the emphasis is still on training and instruction. Pitching is by the players. Games are held on standard 60 foot diamonds. Two games per week are played one during the week and one on Saturday. A tournament team will be formed for both 9 year olds (local tournaments) and 10 year olds (district/local tournaments) beginning in early July.
Majors - League Ages 11 & 12. Although standings are kept, the emphasis is still on training and instruction. Pitching is by the players. Two or three games per week played on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
A tournament team for both 11 and 12 year olds will be selected to compete in the district and local tournaments beginning in early July.
Juniors - League Ages 13-15. The division will be comprised of from 4-8 teams playing in a local league at Veterans Park. The Junior Division includes all 13 and 14 year old players. The league will allow 15 year old players to petition the GILL to play in the Junior division. 15 year olds will be allowed to compete in Juniors based on the skill level of the player.
The regular season will run from Late May to Mid July. Each team will typically play two games per week, on a week night and a Saturday. League Playoffs will be held the last two weeks of July. A limited number of scrimmage games versus other leagues may be scheduled as well. The league will play from 16-20 games in total.
A tournament team (13-14 year old) will be formed which will compete in the district/state tournament beginning in early July and will also compete in the New Era Cap Classic Tournament on July 30- Aug 2nd.
Seniors - League Ages 15 & 16. The division will be comprised of 1 or more teams playing in a (multi-organizational baseball league. Home games will be played at Veterans Park while road games will be played off-island versus other leagues. The Senior Division includes 15 and 16 year old players. Registration will be limited to 15 players per team. Players will be added to the team in the order of their registration materials. A waiting list will be developed; these additional players will also have the opportunity to play on a combined team with another Little League organization. A 2nd senior team would be formed if our registrations reach 30 Players.
The regular season will run from Late May to Mid July. Each team will typically play two games per week, on a week night and a Saturday. League layoffs will be held the last week of July. The senior teams can expect to play from 16-20 games in total. A tournament team (15-16 year old) will be formed which will compete in the district/state tournament beginning in early July.
Big League - League Ages 16-18. The division will be comprised of 1 team playing in a multi-organizational baseball league. Home games will be played at Veterans Park while road games will be played off-island versus other leagues. The Big League Division includes all 17 and 18 year old players. The league will allow 16 year old players to petition the GILL to play in the Big League division. Registration will be limited to 15 players per team. Players will be added to the team in the order of their registration materials. A waiting list will be developed; these additional players will also have the opportunity to play on a combined team with another Little League organization.

Softball (girls only) League AgeThe player's age on Jan 1st determines "League Age" and division. and Division of Play
International - League Ages 7 & 8. This division is designed to introduce girls to fastpitch softball. The emphasis is placed on learning the basic skills. A pitching machine is used. Won-loss records are not kept. One game during the week and one game on Saturday. All games played at Veteran’ s Park.
Minors - League Ages 9 & 10. Emphasis is on learning to play both infield and outfield positions as well as an introduction to pitching. Won-loss records are kept. One game during the week and one game on Saturday. All games played at Veteran’ s Park. A tournament team will be formed to play in district and local tournaments beginning in early July.
Majors - League Ages 11 & 12. Emphasis is placed on the introduction to most softball rules including walks, stealing, and bunting as well as reinforcing the skills taught in the Minors division. One game during the week and one game on Saturday. All games played at Veteran’ s Park. A tournament team will be formed to play in district and local tournaments beginning in early July.
Junior - League Ages 13 &14. This division is regular high school level fast pitch softball rules. Involves playing in a multi-organizational softball league. . Home games will be played at Veterans Park while road games will be played off-island versus other leagues. The team will typically play two games per week. One during the week and one on Saturday. A tournament team will be formed to play in district and local tournaments beginning in early July.
Senior - League Ages 15 &16. This division is regular high school level fast pitch softball rules. Involves playing in a multi-organizational softball league.
