2010 Memorial Baseball Tournament

Veterans Park, Grand Island, NY

Tournament information coming late April 2010. Please check back!

Grand Island's Memorial Baseball Tournament is quickly becoming one of the premiere youth baseball events in up-state New York.

Designated for 12U and 11U tournament teams, the event is held at Grand Island's Veterans Park, where manicured fields and pristine pitching mounds are found on each of our 5 diamonds. The tournament contracts out the umpire responsibilities to the Niagara Frontier Association, the same association that handles our local area high school and college games. Each and every game will have 2 umpires, 1 behind the plate and 1 in the field.

This tournament always seems to be filled, with a waiting list was needed the last couple of years. If you're looking for a tournament where your players will completly enjoy themselves, have a fair game called, and experience an overall good time, then Grand Island's Memorial Tournament is for you.

Other tournament highlights:

  • Round Robin Format - 3 Games guaranteed, weather permitting
  • Announced games (limited to GI's diamond #4)
  • The 2008 Tournament featured A & B Divisions and many testimonials
  • Playoffs will determine Tournament Champion(s)
  • Individual trophies/medals to winners and runners-up
  • Home Run Derby planned for all divisions - sponsored by Dick's Sporting Goods
  • Souvenir tournament T-Shirt for every player
  • Hot Dog & Soda to all players and coaches each day
  • (2) Niagara Frontier Association Certified Umpires per game
  • A friendly, courteous, and fully prepared staff to ensure a pleasurable experience.
