Summer Baseball League a Success
GILL's 2009 summer baseball league was a huge success!

We expect to continue to offer this league for the 2010 season. More information to follow in early spring.

Thanks to Jim Nilind and all the summer league volunteers for a wonderful job.
Directions to Veteran's Park

Almost all of Grand Island Little League's games are played at Veterans Park. Occasionally, diamonds located at Grand Island High School will be used for the Junior, Senior, or Big Leagues.

Directions to Veteran's Park:

From the South:
- Take 190North to Grand Island to Grand Island Blvd (first exit after south Grand Island Bridge).
- Travel approximately 2 miles to Baseline Rd. (4th light) Right on Baseline Rd.
- Travel Baseline Rd. approximately 1 mile to Bedell Rd (1st light). Right on Bedell.
- Travel Bedell Rd. approximate 1/2 mile, Veterans Park will be on the left.

From the North:
- Take 190South to Grand Island and exit on Long Rd.
- Go East on Long Rd. to Grand Island Blvd.
- Right on Grand Island Blvd. Travel approximately 1 mile to Bedell Rd. (first light)
- Left on Bedell Rd. Travel Bedell Rd. approximately 1 mile.
- Veterans Park will be on the left.

yogi Born Lawrence Peter Berra, "Yogi" was a 3 time AL MVP and one of the best catchers the game has seen. His lifetime batting average still ranks him high in history.

He's also known for his unique insight and has been referred to as a great philosopher of baseall.

GILL's Successful 2009 Season
GILL once again enjoyed a very successful baseball season. Our size has grown over the years and now includes over 800 players and well over 100 volunteers. We expect to be near capacity in 2010 so it's encouraged to register early. Registration information will be posted here soon.

New Bat Regulation
Little League has instituted a new bat regulation that will go into effect for the 2009 season.
This new regulation requires all bats used in league play have a Bat Performance Factor (BPF) of 1.15 or less. GILL will more information posted shortly, but if you're planning to purchase a new bat soon, please ensure "BPF 1.15" is marked on the bat.
