TWIGIB - Senior Style
By: Ken Lenz - Jun 9, 2010

Last Saturday, May 29th  the GILL's Seniors Division returned to

action at Veterans #1 after a one year absence. The GI White squad
coached by Lou DeRosa jumped out to an first inning lead of 3-0.

The GI Blue team coached by  Mike Chorey  weathered the early assault and
scratched back to a 3-3 tie midway through the game. The GI Blue went
ahead when Matt Lenz hit a line drive well over the left field fence for
his first ever entrance into the GILL Yard Club.

Chris Foote followed Lenz to the plate and followed him around the bases with a high drive
over the left field fence. Zach Manuszewski followed them to the plate
and launched a ground rule double which bounced over the left field
fence.  The GI Blue used this power display to proceed to an 14 -4
Opening day triumph.
